Four journals, all opened in 2023, all still publishing. A young list in a field that is being rewritten by the climate.
This is our newest group of titles. All four opened in 2023 — urban design, architectural design and planning, environmental planning, and rural and regional development — and every one of them has published in 2026.
Two hundred and eighty-three authors have appeared in them so far, and fifty-four academics sit on their boards. For a list three years old, that is a real start, and it is the reason we are putting a centre around it rather than leaving four journals to find their own readers.

Before you submit
Most papers that come back for revision come back for the same handful of reasons, and almost none of them are about the science. Separately from publication, our editorial office offers:
- Language and copy-editing, with every change shown as a tracked redline you can accept or reject
- Similarity and plagiarism screening before you submit anywhere
- Formatting and reference correction, including DOIs filled in from Crossref where they are missing
- Figure, drawing and table checks — the things reviewers notice first
Our boards are not decorative. You apply once, name the journals you are willing to serve, and each editor decides independently. We will tell you either way.
